14 Bolt Shave? Does it weaken.....

When you shave a 14ff does it lessen the integrity of the carrier? Just wondering if this has ever been an issue. I am planning on doing this soon.

it has a large lip on the bottom that might of been added to take the brunt of hits when driving over curbs at a high rate of speed, but that thing is so beefy I don't think you will do anything to it. I've seen guys grind so much off that they take out the bottom bolt....have fun....
