I just got a 14bolt FF for my 97 C2500 with slip off drums(it is out of a 96 2500). So I want to disc convert the brakes rather than rebuild the drums. So my question is, what the heck are my options? Can I use the same disc brake brackets? If so what rotors do I go with? Better off getting older hubs and converting to non-slip off?

sorry to say its all diffrent brother. even the spindle on the axle is diffrent.

there is 2 basic kits. 14ff pressed on drums old style.

then 14ff pop off drums new style.

i found out the hard way few years back. had all the stuff lined up and got all apart and bam in my face i was smacked.:doah:

found my old old post. http://www.coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149458&highlight=14ff+brakes

Luckily I don't have parts lined up. I have calipers but sold the rest of my stuff. Thanks man.
