Guys,

When removing the spring perches off of my 14 bolt i accidently grinded alittle to far. Is this something I need to worry about? Should I go back and fill them in? Also, I'm going to set my pinion angle to match the T cae angle at 4 degrees. Is this angle going to be hard on my u-joint?

Thanks for your help,
Ray

No, I didn't grind all the way through, just put a 1/8in groove in it.

i would fill the void with weld, let it cool, then grind it smooth. then go from there like normal.

that's just me though, i'm not a professional axle guy.

The tube is .500 thick, so your nick wont hurt at all.
Its up to you weld and grind like suggested if you want.
But not necessary.

I hacked all the way through one once....I was 18 with at least that many budweisers in me:haha:
I welded it up the next day and ground it out.
That axle is still under a friends junk and is fine:D
