I found a 14bolt, but it is from a dual rear wheel truck. I will be putting it in a 1990 Blazer. Will it be to narrow? Will it work at all? What all would I have to do to make it work? It it worth it for 75.00 w/4.10 gears? Any and all help would be great, thanks.

Dually rears come in 2 widths. 63" WMS(wheel mounting surface)-WMS for cab & chasis. 74" WMS-WMS for flleetside duallys. You need it to be 67-70" or so to work, unless you are planning to run H-1 wheels. Also if you did use it the spring perches & shock mounts would need to be relocated.

I think the dually 14s are 11.5" ring, too aren't they? Makes for even less clearance and less parts avail. A 3/4 ton 10.5" 14ff would be a direct bolt-in affair and are usually about the same price. The 1tons had the spring perches set narrower.

You're thinking of the Rockwell dually rearends, the 14 Bolt, be it single or cab and chassis (dually) all have the same internal parts at the center housing.

I have to agree, toss the dually rearend and pick up a single wheel 14 Bolt FF from a 3/4 ton rig and bolt it right in.

I'm pretty sure the spring perches can't be moved out far enough for it to work with a 1/2 or 3/4 ton set up, they will hit the drums. That is why 1 tons have narrower rear spring perches, in case they were ordered with the 14 Bolt CC rear end.
