I remember seeing a post on here that gave a step-by-step swap from a 10bolt rear to a 14bff.However,now I can't find it.Does anybody have a link?
 
Thats it!Thanks.Where can I get u-bolts and spring plates for the 14bff?And what is the part # for the adaptor for the 1350 to 1310 piece for the driveshaft?

Get spring plates at a wrecking yard. They are the same as the ones for a 14bSF.

Most spring shops can bend up u-bolts any size you want. If you're a cheap bastard like me you can use some from a mid/late 90's E250/350.

are you sure you need a 1310 to 1350 ujoint?
this was what i was told and wasn't correct for my 89

i needed a s44 to 1350 which is neapco part# 2-1153
there is also the 1330 to 1350 which is neapco part# 2-3050
and the 1310 to 1350 is neapco part # 3-3140
 
Thanks for the part #'s I'll check which one I need before I buy.None of the yards have 14 bolt axles around here.Can you buy the plates new?
 
you may be able to get them from a dealer, i know they can be bought online i don't remember the site tho
 
DIY makes spring plates, so does greatlakesoffroad. Both vendors here...
