I don't have access to my Suburban today to measure. I'm getting some u bolts made and need some measurements. For now, I will be using 4" blocks in the rear until I can do the shackle flip. Can anyone give me a length measurement for rear 14 bolt axle with a 4" block?

Can't help you on length, but the tube is 3 3/8". Get really long ones and cut them.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably do just that. The guy at the shop was acting like an idiot when I called up there this morning, so I was trying to get as much info as possible. Thanks again

ORD lists the dimensions on their website.

GM 3/4 Ton and 1 Ton Rear (9.5" or 10.5" Corporate 14 Bolt) U-Bolt Kit, For Use With Blocks
Includes (4) 3-3/8" x 14" round U-Bolts, with washers and tall nuts. Typically used with 2-4" blocks.
#17754/8-ORD - $45

tube dia + spring perch height off tube + spring pack thickness + ubolt plate thickness + thickness of washer & nut combo + little extra for few threads out top of nut.

5/8" is a good upgrade size and common on 3/4 and 1ton .

and is yours ubolt plate on top of leaf pack or bottom of axle ? this will determine u-bolt bend style

top plate = round - stretches a tiny bit in the making possess.

bottom plate = square - shrinks a tiny bit .

NOTE : most lift blocks are NOT same height front to back . the taper helps kick the pinion up in the lift install to help drive line angle.

Thanks guys. Had some made today at the local shop. 3 3/8" and 15"long. If need be, I will cut off the excess. $60 for all 4 of them. About the same as ORD after shipping cost and they were local.
