are the spring perches on all 14 bolts the same width or is there a 14 bolt that will bolt right in under a blazer? I know the one out of my 1 ton srw will not?

Thanks

Short answer is that 3/4 ton 14 bolts will bolt in, and one ton won't.

Slightly longer answer is that you ALSO want an SRW axle; there were 3/4 ton duallies, so be sure not to get one.

is the 3/4 ton axle as strong as the 1 ton? that may be a stupid question but I am a newb at this 4x4 stuff :)

The only difference between a 3/4ton and 1ton 14FF is the spring perch placement and the brake shoes.

Van has wider perch spacing... nearly 50" IIRC.

With the pickup variety, the other difference between a 1-ton SRW and 3/4-ton SRW is the size of the drums.

perches will need to be relocated. Just went through this on mine about 2 months ago when I got my van width. Van width axles are roughly 3 inches wider than a regular. There is another post floating around here that has the exact measurements of all 14 bolt axles.

Here it is............. http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127970
