Dude that would be my zip. Its prob 2 1/2 to 3 hrs from you, but if your 14 is under your truck you can also drive down and we can pull the carrier in my shop. It shouldn't take more than a few hours.

Could also go with a spool... only like 100 bucks although i think that was for a different axle... can't beat for free tho.

Mini-spools for 14bffs are $190 and full spools are like $250-300. A detroit is like $400-450. Welded is cheap and very strong if done properly. I have run a welded 14bff for 3 years now.

I am changing over to a Detroit soon though because I am eating tires to damn fast and the price of MTR's is only getting more expensive.

It doesn't sound like a bad price but it isn't a deal. A friend of mine welded up my spider gears into a mini-spool for free and then another friend helped me install it for free.

Keep in mind that these are good buddies that I wheel with and return favors for as much as I can.

You should ask Kidjethro, i know he has welded many 14FF spiders for people. Maybe he can get a set of spiders and then weld them up and ship them to you. For a small fee of course. Then all you need to do is remove your carrier and swap spider sets and you're done. :thumb:

i think your friend is charging to much for 125 i'd go with the spool if you ever decide to lock it with a detroit or something you don't have welded spider gears, then have to remove them plus since it is you DD you'll absolutly KILL those pretty new tires!
