If installing a CS144 alternator 140amp into a 85-88 K30, which is needed...standard voltage requlator or self exciting voltage regulator?
I was just going to get an off the shelf 1994 Buick Roadmaster 5.7l alternator.

Corn,
Current Napa number #EC82. I went to Napa, know nothing clerk (made little attempt to help or look it up) said never had such an adapter..blah, blah, blah. I called the main warehouse last evening and the fellow did find it. Ordered and it will be one week before it is in. THought I'd try wiring myself with the 4 prong repair harness but I may wait now that I ordered the EC82 for $16. GM #8078 adapter is discontinued. Thanks for trying to help.
