14B FF u-bolt size w/2.5\" rear block........Anyone??

I am putting the ORD shackle flip on this weekend and installing a 2.5" rear block. I need new ubolts to go with this ,but I'm not sure about the size of the u-bolts. Anyone have any measurements so that I may order some and get them tommorow? No I don't have the old ones to measure, that would have been too easy.

5/8" x 3 3/8" x 10" should get you close.

When I used to have 4" blocks I'd get my U bolts 12" tall, so with a 2.5" block, 10-12" should work great.

3-3/8 is the correct width right?

Yes, the axle tube diameter on a 14BFF is 3-3/8". I am not sure if 10" from tip to tip os going to be long enough for you. My u-bolts are 10" long and you can see in the pic that there is just enough room to add a zero-rate if I so desired.

Measure how thick your springs are, add 3.375", the height of the perch, the thickness of the spring plate, about 1" for nuts and about 0.5" to stick past the nuts. Then add in the 2.5" for the block and see what you get. Then I might round up to the nearest whole inch just to be safe, but that is up to you. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Just go 12". You can always cut them down.
