14bff disc brake conversion guru Q?

Ok, so I'm finally moving forward on this project and need some help.

I'm using weld on brackets for this and need to know which way I should push the caliper on the rods. Is A or B the correct position prior to welding?

I believe A to be correct as when the pads ware down the caliper will slide away from the disc and pull the outside pad to the disc.

Thanks, got them on and welded up nicely. Now on to gear setup.
