hello,

how strong is the lockright locker for 14BFF rear ?
is it suitable for a sand truck applications where we race a lot in the dunes ?

truck specs:
modified 454 BBC with around 450HP/Tq
SM465 + NP205
front 10 bolt + rear 14BFF (3.73 gears )
33" Maxxis Bighorns

regards,
Ahmed

I've been running one for MANY years with no issues. First as a daily driver with a beefed 350, now behind a stout 454 pulling a 45,000lb transfer sled at truck pulls (no issues to date).

I've installed several for myself and for customers and have had no issues at all. I know of at least 2 that are beaten mercilessly behind Big Blocks. One of them is mine and it's behind a 12.5:1 427 with 37s.

thanks a lot
I was thinking it will explode the first time I pop the clutch @ 4000 RPM :D

hopefully I will install it this weekend

He installed mine for me (I had to run to Wal Mart to pickup some axle grease, it was the only place open at the time), when it was done, I backed out in front of his shop and did a burnout. It has been beaten mercilessly since then behind my tired 454/SM465/NP205. It always spins both tires, and I beat it like there is no tomorrow.

if the lock-rite is so good, what would the benefit be of dropping the extra cash on a Detroit locker?

so you don't hear that clicking noise around turns off the gas (unlocked)

The 14BFF Lockright has been no problem in my rig so far.
