Other then the rear bearing, what is the differences? I have an old model and I guess what is called a second gen with the larger rear bearing. For some reason the pinion carrier from the older model will not go in the newer model. It stops about 1/4 or 3/16 short.

Its the little bearing inside the housing where the pinion snub sits in. They're different sizes between old and new 14FF's.

The pinion support bearing for the pinion nose was the same on both of them. It was the the carrier bearing near the pinion gear that was different. The newer one is larger. I'm using the pirate photos for reference only.

Bearing mark #3 was different on the pinion carries from older vs newer.

Likewise, the difference that I could not find was in the size of the inner bevel on the carrier itself.

I'll check it again, but the pinion nose support bearings seem the same.
