14bff question

I have stumbled across a 96 Chevy p/u that was beat up. The 14bff in the rear has been robbed of its side axles and gears but the brakes and drums are all there and look new. Are these brakes and drums the same as an 80's style 14bff the one I got needs new brakes? Also the guy sold the block and has the vortex 454 heads just sitting there,and wants them gone. Now I dont have a 454 but are they worth hanging onto?

if it is pop off drums from the front of the hub then thay are totaly diffrent animal. the old style press off the back drums should be the same. i have a 96 with pop off drums and the hubs and spindles are dirrent specs for spacing.
