So I've rebuilt the 14 Bolt using the knowledge I've picked up from here and Billavista. Thank you all for the help. While I was at it, I did the disc swap using a DIY4X kit. Now I'm ready to swap it into my '90 K5.

I have a question regarding the brake lines. I know absolutely NOTHING about brakes aside from their obvious purpose.:o I have read everything I can find on this subject, but wasn't able to find anything specifically on point. I got all the break parts from Autozone--i.e. rotors, calipers, pads and caliper bolts. All of those are now mounted without any issues.

I ordered the parts as for a '77 Chevrolet K20 4x4. The info I have read suggests that the brake lines will swap from the 10 Bolt right onto the 14 Bolt with no significant mods to anything except the soft line which needs to be added at the caliper. Given that the caliper has a 7/16" inlet and the stock line is a 10mm, what do I need to do to connect the two?

If anyone has a part number for a hose with these ends or anything that would work I would really appreciate it. I want to make the swap as simple as possible. I am also willing to go flex-line from the "T" to the caliper as others have done, but I'm not sure what I need to order in terms of sizes and fittings. Also, will the "T" that is stock on the 10 Bolt work, or do I need to get a different one?

Thank you again for any help you can provide.

:bow:Thanks Cuervo. So I just get the hoses and banjo bolts and it will connect the stock 10 Bolt hard lines to the 3/4 ton discs? Great. That's a lot simpler than what I thought it would take to make it work. I figured I'd have to have some sort of adapter fittings and cut the hard line down/re-flare, etc.

I appreciate the help. Now, I've gotta work on getting a full membership and learn how to post up some pics. I definitely owe it to everyone here to show some of what they've helped create.:wink1:
