This was purchased from a salvage yard. When we removed the diff cover the ring gear still had yellow marking paint on the gears. Faded, but still there. No chips or other problems were noticed and the gear oil was nice and clear. Motor on the vehicle was blown. It had to have been put back together just before the guy blew the motor. I pulled the carrier anyway and the bearings/races were in great shape. I checked the pinion and it matched the ring gear numbers. I reset the backlash and sealed it all back up with a few upgrades.
This has Ruff Stuff's complete 14bolt FF swap kit. (The kit is $325 on it's own - Heavy duty case cover w/o drain plug, pinion guard, spring perches, shock mounts, Ubolts/plates, and disk brake mounts. All brand new from http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/14COMKT.html
I sanded and primed the axle, put a mild weld on the axle tubes, and welded the spring and shock mounts for GM 1/2 and 3/4 ton install. I was going to mount the calipers forward but you can change the mount position since they are bolt on. Backlash is set at .005. that gave me the best setup pattern. It has brand new gear oil in the case but it will have to be drained if you ship it (no hubs). I used the SRW hubs on my D70HD build. Axles are resting in the tubes. I do have a set of DRW hubs off of a D70HD if you are interested.
The blue is actually a little darker than what it shows in the pics.
$475. Shipping extra.
