what kind of positive traction device comes stock in a 80 k-20. i pulled mine apart and it looks like a cone thing with springs in it where the spiders would sit. just wanting to know because it works great on the rocks. or it may not be stock, hell i don't know.

it's called a gov-lock, that's all i know about them, sorry.

The only posi I know of that uses "cone things" /forums/images/icons/wink.gif is the Aurburn. It wasn't stock on GM trucks. The Gov-Loc that was available as an option on GM trucks has a large diameter gear parallel to the ring gear that has gear teeth that look like they belong in a clock, not an automotive differential. /forums/images/icons/cool.gif
