14bolt FF

So i got the required 14 bolt FF rear axle for my 88 K5. I want to get it under there before my trip to Tellico in December. I saw in another post that somebody had a 6 lug conversion on there 14 bolt. Has anybody heard of this or know where to resource the parts/kit. I would prefer to do that so i can keep my fairly new rims which were purchased prior to the axle. Also about how much labor is involved with setting up the axle to swap in as far as relocating the spring perches/shock mounts? About how much can i expect to spend to have a shop rebuild/swap in the 14bolt? Thanks Josh

To do a 14FF you have to buy custom hubs. I do not think they are made anymore. TonyP used to make an adapter that went from 8 lug to 6 lug but he has not made them in years. And Jason Payne made a 6 lug 14FF by weld filling and redrilling the stock 14FF hubs. Sadly he is no longer with us.

There is no cheap / easy way to make a 14FF 6 lug, Sorry.

Grady's Off Road used to make the 6 lug hubs for the 14FF, but they went out of business some time ago. IIRC they sold for $500 per set.
You could convert a 10 bolt front to 8 lug for way cheaper than that
