14bolt gear carrier interchange questions

If using a Detroit it makes no difference as the locker goes inside the original carrier. Also needs to be an open carrier to accept a Detroit.

So just to clarify; I'm running a 14bff with a Detroit and 4.10's. When I want to go to 4.56 or 4.88's, I can use the same carrier and locker and get thick cut gears?

That is correct.

Thanks! I love this site. I actually logged on to look this very issue up. But I find searching, a long drawn out process because I always get caught up reading a bunch of unrelated stuff. So I decided to check out the current posts first! Love it!

Hmmm would this apply for the front D44 and electrac?

I may be incorrect on this, i'm looking in a drivetrain warehouse catalog and they don't list a thick gear for a D44, but the carrier break is 3.73-down and 3.92-up
