Does anyone know what years and out of what the 14bolt SF had lockers and Limited slips? I Need to find 1 for a temporty rear end and I would really like to have one with a locker(even a gov-loc) and of course LS is still better then OPEN... btw like I said this wont be in there forever so I dont wanna spend the $$ to put a locker in it

I know the 10&12 bolt Gov-Loc sucks I was with confedneck when his Exploted... But I have on in my 14bolt FF that is in my truck right now... and have had NO problems with the locker at all and really do like it I mean its no detroit but I havent been to gental on it even on pavement and its held up... So my question is are the SF gov-loc's about the same strength at a FF gov-loc or are they more like the 10&12bolts?

The 14SF is more like the 10&12 bolt gov-lok. The 14FF is a bigger stronger gov-lok that seems to be holding up pretty good for a few guys including me. Tim (84chevy K10) has a gov in his 14SF and has 38's. His has lasted and he drives like a bat out of hell.

Just for future reference, how long did the 14BSF 6 lug axle last, or is it still going? I know '88 for first year, wondering if it can be found with disk brakes stock...if I ever need to upgrade from the 10 bolt, and a 14BSF can be had with stock disks, I think in my case, that'd be the way to go. They should only get cheaper. I bet right now a newer setup is still fairly pricey.
