14FF axle tubes

I am curious if this is normal for a 14FF the drivers tube looks like it is walking out of the casing. I have never really paid much attention to them when I was younger. I just assumed the tube would be hard against the casing.

Thanks I hope I dont have a F****d axle. Also are those weld slugs and are they supposed to be there?
 
Thats how they are supposed to be, they are tapered and then pressed in the housing from the factory, the plug welds just hold them in there. :)
 
Yes they all look like that. The ends of the tubes are machined and pressed in, then plug welded. Just a confirmation, i know someone else already answered.
