14ff ChassisCab Hubs on DRW D70?

Iirc, if the 14 bolt is a dually the hubs should be the same as the drw D70 hubs. Good for replacement parts but no advantage gained.

14 bolt srw hubs are the ones that add to wms width.

I want to use a DRW D70 and be narrower. IIRC it's 73"...so I would end up about 69" or something with the C&C "narrower" hubs.

DRW D70 and DRW C&C 14FF share the same bearing hubs. No differences between them.

Using a SRW 14FF bearing hub will put the stance out wider on the D70 and C&C 14FF.

To the best of my knowledge, there aren't any hubs you can swap to that will decrease the overall wms measurement.

um yes you can...
i put the 14 bolt srw hubs on my drw dana 70 to make it wider...

So I could use the SRW to make mine narrower :)

You mean SRW=wider, DRW (cab chassis) = Narrower right? I have all the parts in my yard. I guess I could just go measure them instead of sitting here typing about it. :haha:

I have a potential buyer for my DRW K30 pickup but he wants SRW. I figure I could swap my 14FF C&C hubs onto the D70 to make it close to SRW width. I like the D70 for gearing selection and clearance, so if I wanted to lock/regear it and run it SRW, I could. The brake backing plates would have to be moved too I suppose, or just disc it.

I went back and forth between the dana 70 with stock drw hubs or 14 bolt hubs...
I went with the 14 bolt hubs to make it wider... (running drw dana 60 and stock H1's)

If you put my dana 70 hubbs on you'd be narrower I would think???

Dana 70 hubs on a Dana 70 = 73" I think. 63" Cab and chassis axle is the same width as a 67" SRW axle except for the hubs. The WMS is set back/in on the hubs. So a D70 = 73" minus the 2" per side Cab and chassis hubs would be about 69".

your forgetting that a stock srw d70 and 14b are both 69 already. D70's and drw 14b hubs are the SAME hub. you will end up with a 73" wide d70 if you put c&c hubs on it.

What he said.^^^^^. The only way to get a narrow 70 is to start with a SRW 70 and put C&C or dually hubs on it.

i just realize i was wrong, at least on the 14b. they are 67.5" in srw not 69. however, my van 14b is 70" with srw hubs.
