So I got all sorts of parts for my 14BFF.. (new bearings, seals, rotors, calipers.. etc.) and I have been real ansy and want to get the drums gone.. Can I put the rotors on,new bearings, etc. on without puting the caliper and brackets on without hurting anything? I just want the goofy drums gone...

btw: I dont have the brackets yet..(this friday im ordering them) and are the flex lines mandatory?

Other than you'll have to take the rotors/hubs off to mount the caliper brackets once you get them, no problems.

That and if you plan on driving the truck, you'll have no rear brakes.

Flex lines to the calipers are mandatory. The caliper moves everytime you press the brake pedal, and will eventually break the hard line from fatigue. Not safe at all. plus I know of no way to hook a banjo fitting directly to the hard line anyway. Pretty much have to buy flex hoses to make it work.

Ok ill get the flex lines..only $55 extra at ORD.. the truck doesnt move yet.. Still have all the little stupid things to go through (wood bed mounted lights, plumbing, and some wiring left).. Im gunna do so I can get a head start before my parts come and before my room over flows with car parts.. lol
