I had the drum brakes replaced on the Suburban when the axle was rebuilt and swapped in. Right now they are hanging up when rolling forward but not backwards. I took everything apart to replace the ebrake cable thinking that was sticking but it still does it with the cable disconnected.

I took pictures of the brakes before they were replaced and everything looks correct now.

Looks like everything is in correct place. Only thing I can think of is Grove in baking plate could be hanging one of the shoes up.

Wow just watched the video. That is strange, with out even applying the brakes in between. Bearings? Maybe a small piece a crap in one of the rollers making it a one way sprag. Does other side do this?

Both sides are the same. I bought another set of shoes on a gamble and it fixed it. The only thing I can think of was the shoes came from a bad batch.

Hard to tell from pic, but do you have the primary shoe (shortest lining) facing forward and the secondary shoe (longest lining) facing the rear on both sides?

And I always put anti-seize on the star adjuster threads to give them a fighting chance.

Almost looked like it was the diff that was locking up in the video..didn't appear you had moved the drum backwards far enough for a shoe to grab that quickly!..

Thought the same thing, until I realized the axle wasn't installed

Yes, smaller shoe in front, larger in the rear on both sides.
