14ff vs. 14sf

yeah...its really easy. It comes down to the "FF" and "SF" part of the name. FF has hubs that stick out like your front hubs do. There are 8 bolts I believe on the outsdie of the hub. SF will not have hubs that stick out. They will just be flat with lug nuts sticking out. Best that I can describe it /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

TruckR4Me already described what the differences in the hubs are and that is the simplest identifying feature to look at, but sometimes you can't see the hubs and you need to look at the differential housing.

The Semi-Floating 14 bolt axle has a nice round differential cover:
