looking for a 14FF to put under the rear of my '92. i'd prefer something older (70s-80s) that will work with the Sky Mfg disc brackets i already have. 4.10s and an open carrier would be awesome too. anybody semi-local (150 mi +/-) got one they're looking to part with? spring spacing doesnt matter, as i'll be cutting the perches off anyways.

only 2 kits for brakes. pop off newer and press on old style. i have seen lots of 88-up style with old style. and if you run 87-down the ubolts will be close to the backing plates. i used a van width and it worked much better and was press on drums so a std kit would work for disks.

that would work too. the spring spacing is right on the back of the van? how do i tell a pop off drum from a pressed drum?

spacing is not same from van to 88-ups. and if tire is off you will see drum on frt of hub for pop off or on back side of hub for press on style. myvan axle was 94 with press on.

I have an empty 14bff with a massive rear cover if you can bring me a Dana70 Dually axle! :D
You can pick this 8lug front stuff also!

Am i right in that you could get then new axle to bolt in, and swap hubs to the old stuff and still use your brackets?

if you mean switch from pop off to press on. then no is the answer. thay changed the spindle specs and such. that is why there is kits for both styles. i tryed this and it didnt work. shane74 and i made the first kit and i tested it . he sells them in the vendor section in his home page. for the pop off style.
