Hey I have a 14sf out of a 92 Chevy so it has metric lug studs. It's going in my 91 K5 with a 8 lug gm10 bolt with standard lug studs.

So can I just get some studs for a older style 14sf and just swap them out so my lug nuts are all the same or am I just stuck with two different sets of lug nuts

Yea I was just worried about the thread pitch on the lug nut, just incase someone is helping me or something and the lug nuts get all switched around or something.

I think what he meant was his old studs are SAE threads and the others on the "new" axle are 14mm metrics...be a bummer if someone tries putting the 9/16" nuts on the 14mm studs...

Sorry I dont know if the knurl and length is the same on both, and if you could put SAE studs in place of metric ones or not,but any good parts counter guy with a Dorman catalog that has the numerical size listings can probably find you some that'll work..

sizes look close on specs.

best bet see if parts store has one for each axle and compare in hand .

just make sure when looking for 3/4 ton older stuff you use 80's year range like 85 and low gvw spec like 7200 lbs.

The Dorman catalog has all the specs, the real important one is knurl diameter.

If you are lucky the early studs are either larger or same knurl as the metric ones. If you search here there is a thread about converting the 14SF Metric's to standard, I put some info in there, metric stud knurl diameter might be covered there, but still need diameter for the standard ones.

I used dorman 610.379 1/2 inch studs for my 91 6 lug 14sf, had 14 mm original studs. 8 lug later axles are 14 mm. the 379's again are 1/2 if that will work for you. They are a little long for steel rims but are just right with my slot mags.
You can use them as a reference in the Dorman Catalog like was mentioned by dyeager535 to find what you want. .625 knurl will fit the 6 lug axle, im only guessing the 8 lug is the same. I forget what the knurl length and overall length was but the Dorman has all the info.

According to the Dorman catalog the metric studs have a 15.88 mm knurl (0.625"), looking for a matching knurl dia. in a 9/16" stud there are a couple of choices: 610-218 has a .625 knurl, 2" OA length and a 5/8" shoulder. 610-217 has a .625 knurl, 2 1/8" OA length and a 11/16" shoulder.
Either should get you in business and be long enough for aluminum wheels. HTH

I can tell you that I took 9/16" studs from an 80's 8-lug 14Bsf, pressed them into my 6-lug shafts (aftermarket) with no mods and have had no problems for several years.
