well, is this possible? my rear 14bff has the 2 1/2 inch brake shoes out of a C30. i dont have the d60 yet but i was wondering if i would be able to put 15" rims on these axles? with what backspacing if it is possible?

Yes, it is possible. I run 15" rims with 3" of backspacing. The D60 calipers will require some grinding to clear the rims. The rear should not be a problem.

any body else run 15" rims on their 1 tons? i need to know if it is possible. tires cost less with smaller rims. i was either going to run 17s or 15s but i really want the 15". so far i have heard that 15" with 3" of backspacing works...what else?

yes just liek the above guy said, you will have to grind the calipers on the D60 but on the 14bff they will fit fine.
Please search next time this has been covered 2132464654616316 times :D

I run 15 inch rims on my 8lug 44, and I had to grind the calipers and brackets and get 3/4inch wheel spacers so they dont rub.

You won't find them listed on any sites, you have to go to a tire/rim store and make the sales person look thru their books to order them for you.

jrpeebles, you need to activate your PM account so you can accept messages. I tried to send you one as I had a question for you.

My question was: are you Tony's son or what?

No, who's Tony?

Tony goes by TONYP and his last name is Peebles. He's one of the premier machinists on this site. Just saw your name and wondered. :doah:
