anyone towed with one. I'm looking to buy a new truck this summer and one of these came to mind as I'll only tow a few times a year My K5 will be the biggest I'll tow.

the smaller ones have smaller everything. so if you ever think you will need more get it now.
You don't want a 1500 if you are planning to tow a fullsize on a trailer.
Very rarely will you be within your weight limits, and it just isn't very safe.
Go with a 3/4 ton and you will be a lot happier towing....

You could tow with a 1/2ton if it's a long bed or short bed extended cab, but it would be over the rating, which is never good. GM did make some heavy 1/2's and they would probably be ok, they are the trucks that are 1/2t 6 luggers but with a 14BSF under them, they are like 5/8 tons.
