15in 8 bolt rim, will it fit a D44 front and corp 14bff rear axle 8 lug??

Im wondering if a 8 lug 15in rim will clear the brake caliper front and drum brake on a D44 front and Corp 14bff rear axle, they off a 79 3/4 ton burb. 15x10 8 lug

If its a d44 8 lug from 3/4ton , you will have to do some grinding of the caliper.

They will fit fine on the 14b ff .

Ok, ya they a matching set so its off a 3/4 ton, ive seen the grinding done before and doesnt seem to be a overly tedious task. it doesnt affect the caliper quality much does it? i wouldnt think so

If you figure your back spacing correctly and they are not powder coated they should fit with no grindage but thats my 2 cents.

Test it. take the rim and try to mount it on the hub before you mount the tire. try to tighten the lugs. if you can tighten them and spin the rim, you are good. if you cannot tighten them and spin freely , grind till you can.
you will not have to grind that much that it would effect the stability of the caliper. Also keep in mind , the less backspacing you have on a rim to which the rim sticks out farther, the more pressure you put on your hubs and ball joints

I got that exact smae set up and I am just running 2in backspacing. Clears everything.

I had to grind front and rear on the blazer d60/14bff with discs...

Also had to grind the front of the crew cab d44...

I run 15x10 4.25" BS and had to grind a good amount but it worked.

Yup, as other have said.. .grind away. Backspacing will tell the tale of how long you have to grind.
I have 15 inch rims on a Dana 60.


Something that helps when grinding... spray paint the caliper... then spin the rim to see where it is rubbing. Takes the guess work out and saves a lot of time.
The paint makes it real easy to see where the rubbing is happening.

Ok thanks that should make it easier, ive been thinking the standard 2in backspacing, maybe 2.75in i would rather grind a bit more than replace bearing all the time

On my old rig I ran 15" x 2.75 BS 8 lug rims on my D44/14ff and I didn't have to grind at all.

You wont have to grind much with that backspacing.
