I have two 16.5" 8 lug stock steel wheels, not sure what they came off of, also not sure on width as tires are mounted on them so i can't measure and i just came across two BFG all-terrains 33x12.5-16.5 and the guy is asking 50 bucks for both. Tires are almost brand new. My question is will these tires fit ok on the wheels or are they to wide? They will be going on a daily driver that doesn't see any off road wheeling conditions. Thanks for the help.

Tires will fit the wheels just fine. I have a set of BFG AT's that size mounted to a set of stock wheels. Never had any problems with them.

12.50's are Wide for stock wheels. For teh price though, you can make them work.

which wheels are they, there is like 3 different widths, 6.5, 7.5, and 9.75, if they are the 9.75's then they are worth some money and the 12.50's will fit perfectly........

FWIW: The wheels I have mine mounted on are the 7.5's.

33 12.50s on a stock wheel will crown out pretty bad, my 37s 12.50s are great on 16x6.5 wheels. i just think the short wide tires isnt such a good idea on that skinny of a wheel. hell for 50 bucks buy em and run em, but the would crown out.

I have no clue.

I'm going to pick them up today, hopefuly they are still there. If i don't like the way they fit then i'll have to keep my eye out for a couple wider wheels. Thanks

i found some stamped letters or numbers but couldn't read them cause they were pretty deformed from the rust. i put some tape across the rim on both sides then measured from tape to tape throught the hole for the hub. i came up with exactly 7 1/2" so i'm assuming they are 7 1/2". i'm going to have them mounted this week if all goes as planned then i will find out how they fit.

for example i run around 22 psi in the 37x12.50s on the 6.5 wheels, give me a pretty solid footprint.
