Ok I KNOW this is a dumb newbie question.. and Im pretty sure it CANT be done, but can 16.5 inch tires be used on a 16 inch rim?

I didnt even know they had 16 inch rims.. I always assumed the next size up from 15 was 16.5, but now I see 16's everywhere and just a few 16.5's.

I prefer 15's but got a great deal on a set of 35x16.5 goodrich MT's.

Thanks

No, absolutely not. Just find some cheap 16.5's.. Recentered H1 beadlocks seem to be the ticket.

If you did it, the bead should "seat" easily.......

Don't do it and thanks for admitting it was a dumb newb question.:D 16's have gained a lot of popularity in recent years. It used to be 15's or nothing, then 15's and 16.5's, then 16's, 17's 18's 20's... it's ridiculous. Also, use those 16" rims if at all possible.

The only dumb question is the one you don't ask and it gets someone hurt or killed like what you asked could have done . So keep searching and asking . You will get some heat at frist, but in the end it's worth it .
