I currently have 37" Pro Comp Extreme Terrains on 16" wheels. I can probably get one or two more seasons out of them, depending how hard I am on them. In looking for replacements, it seems hard to find anything 37-38" tall for 16" wheels anymore, but at 17" they are more plentiful. Is this a sign of the times that I need to start looking for 17" wheels now too??

Oem are not making 16s anymore. Brakes are getting larger and so are the wheels. It doesnt make sense to make em. 17s are not bro and they fit well.
Many good large tires come in 17 but might be limited to load range d.

image.jpg Yep. 17" is the new 15". Trophy trucks been running 17's for years. Maybe over a decade. Hell even my junky jeep has 17's.

Go 17's and don't look back.

They are the new 15's. Finding good used tires in a 17 is fairly easy around my area. So much so that on my current project I didn't even give it second thought. Upgraded my brakes to H3 calipers/rotors so I don't even have the option of running anything smaller.

Agreed, 17s look good. I was referring more to the 22-24 inch “Bros”.

Yeah, 17's being the new 15's is the feeling around here...which I dislike. If I could fit 15's over my brake setup, I would. The practicality of having more sidewall is better than running "dubs" with rubber band tires on them! I guess 17's it'll be...:dunno:

I’m in worse shape when I get new tires. I’m running 16.5 rims still. Many car manufacturers are going 17 and Chevy on a lot of new suv and trucks are running 18s.

I'll make you a deal on some 15s and 42"iroks. The rims clear a d60 with no grinding

I've heard that extra inch makes a difference...just what I've heard

HAHA, I could go to 40's, but then the gears are undersized. I've played this game of catch up already and don't really want to start again. I'm trying to enjoy the truck I've owned for 20 years and test its limits as is; not much it hasn't been able to do yet

17s or 20s if you want all the options you can get, or if you are like me and buy used tires off CList.
