I can see needing a flame suit for 18’s, but dont think its necessary for 17’s, given how the tire market has been headed the last several years. Ive got a set of stock rallies, that will be taken off and kept, so not like they will be disappearing, but I would like to find a good looking set of 17’s to give a little more updated look, without going brodozer (i know thats more in the 20”+). Thinking maybe modern take on classic wheels. I’ve found a couple wheels I like, but they are beadlocks, and while I can convince myself of just about anything, beadlocks on a truck that will possibly never air down (clean, street driven truck) is hard to justify. I like the beadlock look, but refuse to have the look if they arent real. Tire size will be in the 32-33” range, so thinking 17x8-9

All that to say, I’m looking to see what others have or like. There are tons of wheels out there, but in the pic thread most are still 15’s or 16’s. I know its very subjective, so looking for ideas.

What 17” wheels do you have/want?

Someone was making slotted wheels with a touch of modern look to them, and I think they were available in 17’s.

I have those on my K5 in all black.

I prefer these, I wanna get my hands on a set.

Can you post pic of the all black on your k5?

Even 18"s don't really deserve a flame job when your talking 35"s+

18"s with a stock height tire definitely. But if you have 7+" of sidewall, I think they're fine in my own opinion.

I'm guessing 18 tire selection is a bit better than 17.. being a sidewall kind of guy, I'd go 17's if I need/have the chance..

Yea im sticking to 32-33” so, 17’s are probably the limit.

These were a couple method wheels I like. Can get in beadlock and look-a-like. Truck is black and grey 2-tone

I went thru this a couple of years ago. In 17” or 18” 8 lug wheels, the pickings were pretty slim in polished, non-simulated beadlock. Check out Raceline or KMC, they had some decent “older” styles available. Can’t go wrong with the Ansen slots, tho.

Always H2s. Prolly if patient can find a set pretty cheap. I bought a chrome set for $150. Chrome peeling in a spots, but I'm gonna paint the centers black anyways. Came with 315/70 BFG's, not great but something to roll on.

I had this discussion with myself bout my SAS'd CCSB. Hate anything over an 18" rim, save for a 35-36" tire. Kinda wanted a 17", but found a set of old school M/T's 16x8s. put some 305/70s and looks good IMO.
