So I feel like I need to step up from the 16" wheels to 17" to at least be able to get 37-38" tires and be better setup for the future (16" going the way of 16.5"). I've done plenty of searches, but how would the 17" H2 wheels work with backspacing and all on a K10 with 1-ton axles? I can't figure out if the offset will be too much or how it'd look. Any users out there?

They have a lot of backspace, something like 5.5” so most people run spacers with them. I have them on my K10 with 1.5” spacers, couple other members @AgDieseler @muddysub and several others have them as well.

17x8.5 with 5 5/8 backspace. They fit over gm 1 ton axles just fine. Others may require the center bore to be opened up which is easy to do.

I'm currently looking for another set but people around here want 250 per wheel when the whole set should be 200-250

I do run them, they work great. They do have a bunch of back space. I dont run any spacers or anything. I have run them down to about 12 psi with my 40's and kept the bead on.

Picture of what they look like from the front.

Ha nvm the picture does not have my H2's on it lol

I just run spacers on the fronts. All mine also have rim stiffeners welded in. That's the weak part of the H2s

I run a 1.5” spacer in the rear to even up the track width. I like my H2 wheels.

I can run them without spacers, I just have a huge turning radius..besides maybe the OP has links..

I ran then on two different trucks with no spacers and fit fine. One was truck in my avatar, course not lifted and fit like a stock wheel. Other one was an 84 with 6" lift and 37s. They tucked in pretty good, but didn't look too bad.

I have them on my Cowdog Suburban. And my M101 trailers. I love them. No spacers needed. You just have to get lug nuts in the correct shape and thread. eBay has them for around $25 a set of 32.

I run them with street tires, on one ton axles, all good. I'll try and get a photo. 3rd gen dodge lug nuts are the ticket, 9/16-18 threads and proper tapered seat.

Running H2 wheels with no spacers on 87 K5 with 14 bolt FF and 10 bolt front with Dana 44 hubs no problems.
