now i am home . here is the oem 6 lug version .

note 8 windows for 6 lug .

the aftermarket is 10 windows for 8 lug .

other than non chrome caps used its a factory look on the cheep .

pop out 2 emblems and cut the hole for the hub to stick threw and done . ( dana 60 hubs in pic & soft 8 hole rims for this pic not so factory used what we had at the time. )

Thanks for posting those examples. I do recall them from the past. I was wondering how the round hole would look vs the D slots. I think I'll be leaning to the D slot style.:waytogo:

I need to get center caps... I have black cragar soft 8s with beadlocks. I think they’ll look nice with center caps.

88-98 body style rear caps for a drw truck gets you the deep caps and the look like i got . take 2 and pop the emblem off and cut the center out the same size as the emblem and bam you got front caps .

Not sure if this is the look you want. I'm running these D slotted wheels . 17x9 Fairly cheap, MB 352

all i can tell you is different size socket than the lug nuts will be .

and if they want your sh!T they WILL get it . . . i hate lug locks .

I've had 3 attempted vehicle thefts on my K30, and one attempted tire/wheel theft, in the 25yrs I've had the truck.
Yep, they will try, and whatever you can do to make it inconvenient or slow them down will help to possibly thwart the crime from succeeding.

I've got the 9/16 chrome Gorilla style locks on my current combo (they did the job for the one theft attempt!), but I want to try and keep the new center cap combo clean and not having the locking lug nuts showing. Looks like I got all the info I need to do a clean set up now. Thanks guys.

Beats me why no cheapie steel wheels that have the right offset for a square body can be had in 17" size...years ago ,you could buy just about any size aftermarket steel wheel or white spoked rims for about $30 ...
I've done some searching and dam few 8 lug 17" factory rims off ANY truck built after 2000 seems to be "close enough" to work, and salvage yards want $50+ bucks each for dented up used ones..
