I have a set of 39" Iroks and I need 17" w/ 8x6.5 bolt spacing. rims. I can get 17 x 9 but TSL says they should be at least 10" wide. Would 9" be OK? I only want cheap steel wheels, cause I'm a cheap bastard. ;)

Yep, 9" is fine.

The 39" Iroks are only 13.5" wide. As stated above a 9" wide wheel is plenty wide enough and I would also prefer that over a 10" wide wheel. Myself and a few others in our club have ran 15.5" wide TSL's on 8" wide wheels for years off-road with good luck as they hold the bead better. I ran 38x13 TSL's on a 10" wide wheels for a few years and it blew beads all the time.

There is a place on line that sells 4 wheel parts, Lots of wheels that size at $~100 a pop. That’s cheap eh. 3and1free. Was just looking at em.
