Think in the name of "one less thing on the to do list" I am going to run the H2 rims I have instead of the H1 rims I have. The H1s need to be recentered, sandblasted, get new inserts, etc etc. So I think I will just wait until I have the cash to do them right, including rock rings and rebar.

So anyway, what are you guys running on 17" rims? I'm looking to go at a minimum 38"s. But all I see is 38x15 TSLs and 39.5x13.50 IROKs. I'd rather spend a little less than the IROKs but I think they are where I am going to end up. I don't want the 15" wide tires.

So anyone?

I just got some new BFG's in 17 inch.........but they're 37's............:D

damn trailreadys bling bling

im gonna try to talk you back into the h1's now... assuming you have a 60 up front
im running them stock, no recentering needed, double beadlock out of the box, get some dually hubs up front(people are killing for srw hubs, hell, sell your srw hubs, buy some drw hubs for cheap and spend the money you made on the next step), get some 4" spacers for the rear

dontoe - those things look sweet!

So what are the advantages to running a 17" vs a 15" wheel?

In my case, I wanted BFG mud tars. 37" is the largest I could find. They only came in 17" rim size.............:wink1:

No way I'm going through that. I have a Ford 60. Not even sure I could get a dually hub for a 79 Ford Dana 60. I need to think about it a bit. I wanted the IROKs anyway, but the truck will see a good bit of street use. Thinking off the bat it will be less of a trail rig and more of a local show queen so the H2s play into that. Though if I could get the H2s sold I could afford at least he new rim centers and be close to the inserts. They'd at least be useable then. Could get them sandblasted when the 60 goes in for the same treament.

PM "Steve_Kibbe" he just got some H1's recentered by a friend............:wink1:

I am going to recenter my own. Thats not scary to me. I have the welding ability and equipment to do it. Just the purchasing of the centers, hardware I need for the rims(missing nuts), o-rings, PVC inserts, and then sandblasting and painting.
