I found a good deal on a set of 42" TSL's locally, but they are for 17" wheels. So, now im searching for a set of 17's, will probably go with allied beadlocks. I did some searching for backspacing threads, and it sounds like 3.5" works pretty well, but none of those post were about 17" wheels. Will the rim diameter affect bs at all. they are 17x9.5".

Nope, going BIGGER in rim diameter will not effect backspacing. Only issue would be going smaller, where you might need more/less backspacing to clear brakes.

Upgrading to 17's is a good move, TONS of tires are being offered in this size now.

I run 4.5" backspacing on mine. With the taller tire you should be ok with 3.5 to 4" backspacing if you have enough lift or don't mind some cutting. You will like the Allied beadlocks. The Monster Diamonds seem to take everything you can toss at them. Adventurous is a Allied dealer too.

Thanks for the input! Looks like that size is offered in a 3.5" backspace, so hopefully that will work good for me.

If you have 8 lugs you may want to consider hummer H2 wheels. you can sometimes pick up a set of craigslist for a song. IF you dont have 8 lugs well im not sure a 10/12 bolt will be happy with 42s.

I have 60/14ff axles. How wide are the H2 wheels? How about backspacing? Could be a good option if I come across some, but I would really like full beadlocks.
