I am looking at the 17 x 9 crager 897 series. The question I have is willthat be to narow a rim to run a 12.5 or a 13 tire. I want something between 37 and 42" x 12.5. And I just want to make sure they will be fine on a 9 inch wide rim.

they will fit i run 16x6.75in rims with my 39.5x13.5x16in Iroks

My MTR's are on 17x8" rims and Goodyear specks an 8" rim for the 12.5" wide tire.

Where are you getting the wheels at? I've been trying to find inexpensive 17" wheels for 6 on 5.5" bolt pattern.
