17x10 8 Lugs: Need help w/bolt pattern and BS

Hey Y'all,

Did a little searching, but everything covers 15x??? and 16x???

I have a D60 and a GM 14 FF that I'm putting in my 83 K10. I'm planning on running 15.5x39.5x17 TSL's. I've chosen Eagle Alloy 589's as the rim, 17x10. What is the bolt pattern: 8x6.5 or 8x170mm? I'd think it's 6.5, since GM isn't metric. Also, what backspacing should I use? I don't want more than 2-3 inches of TSL sticking out past the fenders and I don't want to compromise turning radius on the D60.

Your help to this K10 newb is most appreciated.

Oh, by the way...who would you recommend to go to for rims and tires and why?

P.S. I would have loved to stick with 15's, but there are no descent rims out there for 15's anymore. Yes, I am trying to balance looks with functionality.

8 on 6.5. I can measuer my 17x10s later and see what BS they are.

It's gonna be tough to fit all that wheel on the inside without much sneaker stickin out.

Okay,

So with 4.5" back spacing, how much sneaker will stick out? 4.5 is the only back spacing available in that rim.

What is your back spacing and how far are they sticking out? What is the actual posting size of your 40's? ??x40x17.

I haven't measured the BS yet. I scored those tires/ rim used (for $250-ish) so not sure. They are some worn down but not terrible.

Hey Y'all,

I spoke with Paul over at National Tire and Wheel today. For $2550.00 to my door I got:

(5) 15x39.5x17 Super Swamper TSL's
(5) American Eagle Alloy 589's, 17x10 w/4.5 BS, Center Caps, McGuard Lugs and Locking Lugs.

I'm so happy. New fresh meats! Keep an eye on my posts. Right now my rig is undergoing a heart transplant. In a few weeks she'll be running a 383 stroker putting out just under 500HP and 425 ft/lbs torque. I'll be posting the Dyno right here. I promise you, this will be a great ultimate off-roading mudder and it will get buried. You will see pics and movies, guaranteed!

You da man! Thanks! They look just like what I have right now! Just how I wanted! My friend told me that my 10" lift kit arrived today! Wha hoooo! Can't wait. Tires should arrive in about 7 days too! I'm so excited. I've waited a long time to have a rig like this! I'm just thanking God for it!
