Well I joined so I could post up my project but it seems I am limited to a 5 post count rule before I can post pictures or anywhere else on the forum. So let me give the details on the project, then you guys can ask questions for me to reply to until I hit 5 posts! Then I should be able to post pictures.

Pad it.... Just post a couple times in this thread, with numbers or something...
Then, go back and edit them, with pics. :thumb:

Honestly, tho...
The $25 for a premium membership here, is some of the best money you'll ever spend. ;)

Can't wait to see this project! :D

So what was the power rating of the engine originally in it? I cant imagine what powerplant that would be less exciting than a 6.2 in a 13k vehicle.

I believe it was a 302ci GMC motor -- this was before GMC and Chevy sync'd up -- which I remember being a V6. An immensely heavy, 120hp V6, mind you :haha:

Yes sir, original motor was the 302 straight 6 gasser. 130hp and 260 ft lbs governed at 3400. Tranny was a 4 speed true blue Hydramatic which had a 15.67:1 low range and 1:1 high range, direct drive.

Power wise the swap is a slight improvement. But more importantly, mileage will be better and I am not limited to a single fuel. Parts are on every street corner and extra motors are for the time being, quite cheap from government liquidation.

Yup, being a non paying member you can't attach pics. But you CAN link them from another site like the aforementioned photobucket or picasa or if you have a build thread somewhere....

Sorry, guy's. Just been busy is all, I am uploading all my picasa pictures to an online picasa profile. I never set crap like this up. My computer sucks.
