1968 GMC Burb

Interior is pretty plain since I use this for most anything. Has buddy buckets, tach, vacuum gauge panel, tilt wheel with 88-94 truck wheel. Still need to put on the door panels and carpet. The engine is a 350/30 over, Keith Black pistons, H-beam rods, new crank, aluminum heads, gear drive, 268 comp cam, comp cam HI-Tech roller rockers, balanced, Torker intake with 600 Edlebrock. I have dana 44 front, dana 60 rear with trak lok and 3.54 gears.

Let me tell you a story about this truck.
I have a Navajo friend in the 4 corners area. He found the body and frame intact out on the reservation about 6 years ago. Pretty well striped of everything. All the doors remained unbelievably. Anyway we traded and I looked for a 4X4 frame for several years. My friend in Kansas City had a frame and he deals in 67-72 trucks and parts. He squirreled away this frame for years. He finally relented to trade it to me about 2 years ago. So I started to put the truck together. Got to the point I needed and engine so I robbed the engine out of my 32 ford 5 window. Then about this time my Navajo friend brought me the grill he found out in the vicinity, over a hill from where the body was located. The production numbers for suburbans during 67-72 I esti

Ok, something weird just happened here. 67-72 production numbers were so low, I estimate around 1500 4x4 suburbans remain in existence.
This survivor showed up recently on Craigslist (Boston area)...looks saveable for a truck that vintage around here..
I had a K-10 Chevy Suburban the same year,but it was so rotted it never was registered,the drivers door litteraly fell off it and was lying in the bed when I bought it for parts...those 3 doors are getting rare,they didn't sell that many 4x4's to begin with..
