Mom has pictures.
It was the traveling display for "The T-bucket by Monogram" model. The engine was empty and the steering and brakes did not work. Steel body and bed. I started with a hand built frame, then a drop front axle with finned drums for old school looks. An aluminum, pollished quick change rear end. 15x12 centerline's on the back with My dot slicks. 350 and th400. Full paint. Unfinished cars (rat rods) were not cool then, or now in my opinion.
Drove it in many parades with the festivals queen riding on the top of the seat. Dated one for a while afterwords.

I stand corrected. It was o long ago. Mom reminded me it was the Little T by monogram. She is going to find the before and after pictures.

This is a friend's Riviera! I don't remember the year!
I too have a soft spot for Buicks! My dad died in '77, three days bonfire I turned 11! We had three cars! The family boat was a '67 Electra 225 convertible! 455, leather, power everything! Dad's summer car was a '65 Skylark convertible! 455 4-speed, manual everything! Funny enough, his winter-beater was a '73 Opel GT...imported by Buick!
I still remember my mom selling them to two, long-hair-hippie types, for $700! All three!!!
She ended up buying a Buick Estate Wagon! Three rows of leather seating(5 of us kids), power everything! It was a 403ci wagon that embarrassed IROCs to about 85mph!
I bought it off her after outing my '73 Camaro up for the winter in 1984!
All my grandparents drove Buicks over the years! My mom passed 4 years ago! One of my brothers has her Supercharged Park Ave now!:-)
That 465 Riviera was a sleeper in its day. Very cool.
425 single 4 barrel. "465" was the tq output. The 401's had "Wildcat 445" on the air cleaner lid.
That one looks like a 63 or 64. They used to run 14's in stock trim, the Wildcat's a little slower...on par with most muscle cars of the day, and faster than quite a few too.

Buick always had some impressive torque numbers! I think the '70 GS 455 was reigning torque king for quite some time at 510ft/lbs! I'd have to look it up to be sure!
That's. all my grandparents on dads side drove years ago, Buicks and mostly Riviera's. The last one was sold in the mid 70's by my grandmother. I recall something about a cracked frame. Silver, black interior and a 455.
It had a pointer on the speedometer that you could set and a buzzer would go off at that speed.
I remember she would climb a specific hill and would put it in neutral at the top and we would go down the other side and see how far we could go. That buzzer would go off on the way down.
