This car was actually driven off the lot by my uncle in 69. it spent countless years sitting in various stages of completion, my uncle would sell parts and then replace them years later never really trying to complete it or get it back on the road.
The drivetrain has been swapped out through the years, the original 327 and tranny are gone, the front end is going to need replacing so parts have been ordered,
Here is the plan..an m21 has been aquired, tubular front end with disc brakes and 2 inch lowering spindles are also on the way, the rear lowering springs will be ordered soon. The idea is to run weld draglites or stars on 15x7 front and 15x8 rears, I like more of and old school look,
My only real concern is what direction to go with the motor, all the rage is modern engines and though that would be cool, I have a small block 400 sitting in my garage that says keeps saying stroker kit, anyone have good info on the 400 blocks and their reliability, have been doing some research
but not quite as much info out there as say a 383 stroker. will post pics as soon as progress starts.

contact Deuling...he had a 406 built, and thought he did some chatting up about the blocks in his thread.
From what I've heard you need a very good cooling system to handle the HP and anything stroker requires clearancing and possibility of hitting a water jacket while doing that....not sure how far overbore is safe without a sonic test, but .030 is, maybe .060?
A Motown will get you 427/434/454/468...just sayin'

I'm sure you already have the M21 but did you consider going with a T56?

Get some highway RPM's while being able to run 4:10's or 4:56's to be a great hole shot car.

Just an idea. That's the direction i was going with my vette

More info about the car itself - plane jane, SS, etc.. Pics? I loves me some '69 Camaro!
