So Cal.
I just got my new money pit home from the shop. With a little bartering and alot of pennies, she's home with some new bolt-ons. I was able to find most all parts I used on local internet classified adds including the truck and am going to try to keep that as a motto.
Here's the upgrades:
Dana 60 rebuilt nicely
ORD hi steer cross over steering
14 bolt wide from a G30
Atlas made springs, needs 1" zero rate in rear
700r built
NP205
Centerline w/ 37x12.5

Wow!

What a nice start you have there. What's under the hood? Does it run well? Does it have all the seats? Does it have A/C? Oh, and what kind of tires are those? They look like Truxus MT's.

Thanks. The motor is tired. I have a rebuilt 350 with world product heads and I was thinking about running a tpi from a vette or iroc. The seats are all there, it has a/c and a fan(little old 3 blade mounted on the dash). It needs everything, the drivetrain, axles, and trans came out of my abandoned 89 blazer project. I decided to go pre smog and picked this up for $1500 and decided to marry it. I plan to paint it my self, low gloss avocado metalic. The tires are procomp mt 37x12.50 buy 3 get 1 free.

I like it, what's the lift?

Ya gotta know we need more pics, right? :smirk:

More pics coming soon. The lift is around 7" the front spring are expected to settle a little, but the rear is going to need to come up an inch to match. Some trimming is still needed in the wheel wells. The body is okay, I'm going to start on the rust next, and finish gathering up all the engine swap goodies. I also am looking at a larger fuel tank opition? and a front winch bumper if anyone knows of one for sale(73-87 warn would work too). The headliner and carpet come out next, not sure if I want to go carpet or linex yet?

That's a sweet 'sub man. You'll have to post pics when you start the DIY painting process. :)

nice rig.... those burbs were always my first choice even over my blazer. I wish i would have waited and got one instead.

nice

there's something about a vehicle that you can put a full sheet of plywood in and close the doors. Never had a 1st gen Suburban but I had an 86 that I just loved! Nice truck!

Nice truck, always loved those 3/4 ton 4wd burbs, my 88 is nice, but your body style is sweet. Keep up the budget build.

You can put 12 footers over the seatbacks and rest them on the dashpad and still close the rear hatch.....BTW :deal:

Trogdor has seen plenty of lumberyard time in during his time with me...
