Helping my neighbor sell his truck. He bought it a year ago hoping to start using it daily. Never got around to it, not very mechanically savvy and couldn’t dump the funds into it. Purchased for $3500, looking for the same.

We think it’s a 390, not positive.
Utility bed

It runs but the shift linkage (or trans) is not cooperating well. Reverse and 1st I guess are usable but he’s worried about going into 2&3rd simply because if it sticks, would be a nightmare to park it.

Those that know, check me on the engine please. Frame and suspension look good. Floors are rusted and the drip rail is too. Most of it is very solid. I fought the mosquitos long enough to get some pictures. It was a previous city of Arcadia, CA truck. The circles on the bed sides are where the old city decals were. I didn’t ask the mileage :(

Definitely a FE block. Could be anything from a 330 to a 428. Everybody says 390. Most are 360.
That roof rail rust is serious. They rust from the inside out.
No advice on 3 speed except to make sure any linkage bushings are good and clutch is adjusted properly.
