I have always Loved and wanted a 1st Gen Blazer and I finally found one that'll work. The main thing I was trying to avoid is dealing with rust issues. I can do most work on my own but paint/body I'll leave to the experts.

My plans are as follows:

New Silverado blue paint w/ Silver SS (1969 Camaro type) stripes on the hood
Cowl hood
Another couple inches of lift (has 4" right now)
POSSIBLY linking it up F&R with coilovers in the more distant future
37" Toyo M/T's with 20x10 wheels (not sure which ones yet)
Either a 5.3 or 6.0 conversion
4L80e transmission (maybe)
241 t-case (maybe)
Keeping the 44/12bolt for now, maybe 60/14B in the future
Newer Tahoe seats all around (wired and working)
6 point rollcage (color matched to the stripes :) )

I'm trying to build a nice daily driver/light-mod wheeler/camping rig/etc.
I'm used to wheeling Rubicon, Moab, The Hammers, etc but this is hopefully gonna be too nice for those kinda trails...I'll leave the Jeep for that.

Here's a pic of the Jeep for a little blasphemy :waytogo:

nice blazer, and welcome to CK5..

whats that black thing?

the 67-72's are the best and i would be in the market for one if i didnt have so many damn cars

Welcome!

I like everything about your plans with the exception of the 20's... Those never seem to look right on a classic truck IMHO.

For a light wheeler, the 4l80e is probably overkill... But a lot of the decisions are usually based on the deals you find during the build.

Do they make a NP241 with a right side drop?
Yes,, 1988-1991 Blazers and Burbs had them.

Newer 241's have a different spline count. You can change the gear from a 27 to 32 spline if going to a 4L80E. I have the part # somewhere.

Makes sense - I'm not that familiar with the newer CK5's.

Awesome, thanks for the info, I'm sure I'll end up taking you up on that.:thumb:

Ya, the 20's are the ONLY thing I'm not sure about but will go 18x10 at the smallest.
