1972 blazer

I'm almost positive i'm going to buy a 1972 blazer that been sitting a while.It has 3/4 ton axels,4speed and 205. It's really straight, just need a door, and a motor. My question is $2200 a good price? thanks

If it is straight and mostly rust free, that's a pretty good price even without a motor. Can you post some pics to help us get a better feel for it's condition? Do you have a motor to put in it?

yes I do have a 454, and it has no rust except on the bad drivers door, it's pretty hammerd.

I paid $1800 for a beat, but running 71. I think I broke even. It came with a winch, new 35pro comps , GM crate motor with low miles, and a locker in a 12 bolt.

Doesn't sound too bad to me. As long as you are satisfied it's all good. There will always be people that say you are getting a killer deal and others that says you are paying too much.

Besides it's an investment.

I got mine for $1000.00 but that was 10 years ago. Needed work but I was happy with it. Bailing wire and duct tape kept it running for a couple years till I could afford to throw some dough at it.

If it is all that, then, sure it's worth the price IMO.

There's a few 'big block install' threads floating around, check em out and it'll save you alot of guess work when you drop in the 454.
