1972 Cheyenne Super K20- -LQ4/NV4500

That's about the exact combo I'd like to have for my dually. Should be a fun driver
 
Well after I slid the cam in I realized the gasket in the retainer plate was pretty flattened. First couple drives I realized oil pressure was pretty low, low enough to make the lifters noisy. Pulled the front apart :surepal: put anew plate in and a new oil pump while I was in there. Pegging the oil pressure gauge now and sounds much better!
 
Don’t have a thread for it. It’s a side project for a friend. Pulled the LS1/T56 out of this 99 Z28 camaro. Swapped it into the 73 El Camino

Not saying that the elco doesn't deserve a decent second life with a ls1/t56. But that Camaro doesn't look like swap material either...

Looking back at this for reasons I won’t mention yet :whistle:
